The absolute soul of Chilean surfing, rumor has it that Ramon was conceived on the rocks of his beloved home break, Punta de Lobos. Regardless, his surfing there is legendary. The standout surfer at the 2011 Quiksilver Ceremonial, he surfed his best heat in the semifinals, scoring a phenomenal 10 point ride, only to come up a bit short in the finals as the surf started to drop. No 2009 Eddie Aikau event at Waimea Bay, Ramon gained the international recognition he so well deserved when his late drop on a huge wave earned him the Monster Drop Award for the contest.

Always willing to give back to the sport and the place that has provided him with a livelihood, Ramon was instrumental in getting the Ceremonial up and running at Punta de Lobos. He now co-directs the event while surfing it at a level that few can match.
